Misfit For The Navy

Indian Ministry of Defence is going to issue an Expression of Interest to the Indian firms for 110 light utility helicopters for Indian Navy, to be manufactured in collaboration with a foreign company under the 'Make in India' project.

Indian Government sources said the Kamov 226T, which has been chosen to be built in a joint venture between Russia and Indian Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), does not meet the naval requirements.
